Transit Seating is a combination of transit tested hardware and seat and backs that meet the WC-20 Standard for wheelchair seats used in a motor vehicle. The seating must be ordered with the appropriate combinations of seat, back and hardware – within a weight limit of 250lbs to qualify. The seat MUST be used in combination with a WC-19 Tested mobility base. The seating system must be installed according to manufacturer’s instructions in the owner’s manual. Seating Systems that meet WC-20 and are called “Transit” have a label attached to the seat and back indicating compliance with WC-20.
