WC-20 Transit Seating

Transit Seating is a combination of transit tested hardware and seat and backs that meet the WC-20 Standard for wheelchair seats used in a motor vehicle. The seating must be ordered with the appropriate combinations of seat, back and hardware – within a weight limit of 250lbs to qualify. The seat MUST be used in combination with a WC19 Tested mobility base. The seating system must be installed according to manufacturer’s instructions in the owner’s manual. Seating Systems that meet WC-20 and are called “Transit” have a label attached to the seat and back indicating compliance with WC-20.

The test evaluators were impressed with the condition of the Seat compared to many others. Our plywood base did not exhibit any breakage at all, where many other seats that have been tested showed signs of breakage (some breakage is allowed to comply).
